API Access

These API Terms of Use govern any access to BashWeather's backend services, data endpoints, or Cloudflare Worker APIs granted to approved third-party developers or partners. By accessing the API, you agree to these terms in full.

Permitted Use

• Display weather data within your own application for end users
• Build non-commercial tools that integrate BashWeather data with proper attribution
• Access data for academic or research purposes under an agreed licence
• Integrate user location syncing or push notification features in approved partner apps

Prohibited Use

• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing BashWeather data or API access to third parties
• Mass collection or scraping of weather data for commercial data products
• Building competing weather services using BashWeather infrastructure or data
• Exceeding agreed rate limits or circumventing access controls
• Storing or caching BashWeather data beyond the permitted refresh window
• Using the API for safety-critical applications (aviation, maritime, emergency) without written permission and appropriate disclaimers
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract proprietary logic from our services

Rate Limits & Authentication

All API access requires a valid API key issued by BashWeather, passed via the Authorization header. Rate limits are defined in your individual access agreement. Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary or permanent suspension of API access.

Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Weather data provided via the API is sourced from Open-Meteo and is provided without warranty of accuracy. See our full Disclaimer. API consumers are responsible for displaying appropriate accuracy warnings to their end users.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate API access immediately and without notice for violation of these terms, abuse of the service, or at our sole discretion. No refunds will be issued for any prepaid API access fees upon termination for cause.
